Indian Sign Language Research and Training Centre invites applications for the following post via direct recruitment:

Post Name: Assistant Professor - Sign Linguistics

Essential Qualification:

(a) Master degree in Linguistics/ Sign linguistics with good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale where grading system is followed.

(b) 4 years of teaching/ research experience of which 2 years must be in area of sign language.

(c) Excellent communication skill in Sign language required (to be tested through Proficient test for Sign Language, Minimum acceptable level: B of ISL.

Desirable:

a. A doctorate Degree (Ph.D) in Sign Linguistics or Linguistics.

b. Certification in ISL learning (for Hearing candidates).

c. Publication in national/ international journals.
