Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CBI), Ministry of Home Affairs invites applications for the following post via Direct Recruitment/Deputation:

Post Name: Director

Essential Qualification:

1) The departmental Principal Scientific Officer with seven years regular service in the grade filing which Principal Scientific Officer with 12 years combined regular service in the grade of Principal Scientific Officer and Senior Scientific Officer Grade-I will also be considered along-with outsiders and in case he/she is selected for appointment to the post same shall be deemed to have been filled by promotion. 

ii) Officers under the Central / State Governments/Union Territories: 

a. (i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis or 

(ii) With two years regular service in the posts in the scale of 14300-18300 or equivalent or 

(iii) With seven years regular service in posts in the grade of 12000-16500 or equivalent

b. Possessing the educational qualifications and experience prescribed for direct recruits i.e., Essential : 

i) Masters degree from a recognized university or equivalent 

(ii) 15 years experience of handling cases of investigation in forensic disciplines in a forensic science laboratory of Central / State Government / Union Territories
