Application Summary
Tamil Nadu Dr J Jayalalithaa Fisheries University invites online applications from eligible candidates for admission in Doctorate programme. The important details of the admission process are listed below -
Course name: Doctor of Philosophy
Educational Qualification:
1. Entrance Examination will be conducted discipline-wise to fill the seats. According to the merit, seats will be filled first with Tamil Nadu candidates.
2. Any unfilled seats will be filled with candidates from other States.
3. Candidates from other States cannot claim admission in the quota reserved for Tamil Nadu State candidates as a matter of right on the basis of merit.
4. Nativity certificate should be furnished only by those candidates who have not studied under undergraduate and post graduate degree courses, (B.F.Sc. & M.F.Sc.) in Tamil Nadu, on selection from Tamil Nadu state quota for Ph.D., admission.
5. Candidates with an OGPA of 2.75 out of 4.00 under the trimester system or 6.5 out of 10.0 under semester system or 65 percent under the semester system or 65% aggregate in the Masters degree alone are eligible to apply for admission to Ph.D. degree course in Fisheries Science. A minimum pass is sufficient for SC / ST candidates
6. Candidates with four-year B.F.Sc. and M.F.Sc. degree in the concerned field of specialization (as given in the table below) from a State Agricultural University or Central University recognised by the ICAR shall alone be eligible to apply.
7. Candidates who have graduated in one discipline at Masters level can apply for admission.
