Indian Institute of Technology Patna invites online applications from eligible candidates for admission in PhD programme. The important details of the admission process are listed below -

Course name : Doctor of Philosophy

Educational Qualification :

(1) BE / B Tech/ BS / M Sc/ MA/ MBA/ MCA /equivalent degree with valid GATE score above the prescribed cut-off level / NET qualification. However, minimum GATE cut-off doesn’t guarantee shortlisting for test / interview.

(2) ME/ M Tech/ M Phil /equivalent degree with GATE qualification not older than 05 years from the last date of submission of application / NET qualification.

Admission Details

Indian Institute of Technology Patna invites applications from eligible candidates for admission in various programmes. The method of admission will be Course Admission. Applications are invited with reference to advertisement number IITP/ACAD/PhD/2024-25/01. Age relaxation will be given to the following categories: SC/ST Categories, Other Backward Classes and Person With Benchmark Disability will be as per the government rules. Quota/Reservation will be provided to the following categories: Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Economically Weaker Sections and PWBD Quota. The selection process will include an Interview process. After completion of all procedures, successful candidates will be granted admission to Patna, Bihar, India, 800001.
