Post Name: Under Secretary

Essential Qualification: 

• Officers of the Central Government or State Government Union Territory Administration or Public Sector Undertakings or Universities or Recognised Research Institutions or Semi Government or Autonomous Bodies or Statutory Organizations:-

(i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or

(ii) With five years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in Level-10 in the Pay Matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; or

(iii) With eight years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in Level-8 in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and

• Graduation from a recognized University;

Essential Work Experience: Five years experience in the field of Administration or Finance or in dealing with Right to Information matters.

Post Name: Assistant Library and Information Officer

Essential Qualification: 

• From amongst Officers of the Central Government:

(i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department: or

(ii) With two years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in posts in Pay Band-2 (9300-34800 plus grade pay of 4600) or equivalent grade in the parent cadre or Department, or

(iii) With six years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in posts in Pay Band -2 (9300-34800 plus grade pay of 4200), and

• Bachelors Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science of a recognized University or Institute;

Essential Work Experience: Two years professional experience in a Library under Central or State Government or Autonomous or Statutory Organization or Public Sector Undertakings or University or Recognized Research or Educational Institution.

Desirable:

• Masters Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science of a Recognized University;

• Diploma in Computer Application from a Recognised University or Institution.
