National Institute of Solar Energy invites application from eligible candidates for Walk-in-Interview for the following posts:

Post Name: Research Associate

Essential Qualification:

  • Ph.D in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics /Electronics and Communication/ Mechanical / Renewable Energy/ Computer Science Engineering/ Atmospheric Science, or related field. Or

  • M.Tech in Engineering (Electrical / Electrical & Electronics /Electronics and Communication/ Mechanical / Renewable Energy/ Computer science/Atmospheric Science), or related field with at least three years of experience in relevant field (mentioned in job requirement). Experience in solar data analysis will be preferred.

  • Those who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis are also eligible to apply. Selection in such cases will be subject to the condition that PhD viva-voce done and declared qualified for award of PhD/awarded PhD degree before the expiry of the validity of the award offer.

  • The candidate applying for RA must have at least one research publication in standard refereed journal as listed in Journal Citation Reports (JCR).

  • Proficiency with database programming languages such as SQL, R or Python.

  • Must have working experience with GIS based mapping tools.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

Desirable:

  • Certification in data science and machine learning.

  • Understanding of solar potential assessment and forecasting.

  • Implement data science solutions that may involve machine learning or data science techniques.

  • Knowledge of statistical approaches, including advanced machine learning techniques.
