Event Information

National Institute of Technology Goa invites online applications from eligible candidates for admission in Doctorate programme. The important details of the admission process are listed below -

Course name: Doctor of Philosophy

Educational Qualification:

1. For Ph.D in Engineering and Technology (CSE, ECE, EEE, CVE, MCE): Masters Degree in Engineering or Technology (M.E. or M.Tech.) in the relevant discipline with a minimum 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale grading system or 60% marks in both Bachelors and Masters levels from recognized Technical Institute or University. For SC/ST candidates a minimum 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale grading system or 55% marks. Exceptional candidates (with CGPA >= 9.0) with B.Tech./B.E from a reputed Institute are also eligible to apply for the Ph.D programm

2. For Ph.D in Applied Sciences: Masters degree in Sciences / M.Tech in the relevant area with a minimum 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale grading system or 60% marks in both Bachelors and Masters levels from recognized Institute or University. For SC/ST candidates a minimum 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale grading system or 55% marks.

3. For Ph.D in Humanities & Social Sciences: Masters degree in Humanities with a minimum 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale grading system or 55% marks in both Bachelors and Masters levels from recognized Institute or University. For SC/ST candidates a minimum 5.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale grading system or 50% marks.

Admission Details

National Institute of Technology Goa invites applications from eligible candidates for admission in various programmes. The method of admission will be Course Admission. Applications are invited with reference to advertisement number NITGOA/Acad/2023/OW/504. Quota/Reservation will be provided to the following categories: Unreserved, Other Backward Classes, Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes and Economically Weaker Sections. The examination will be conducted through Offline mode at Regional level. The selection process will include an Interview process. After compilation of all the procedures, the candidates will be posted at Ponda, Goa, India, 403401.
