National Testing Agency invites applications for GAT-B & BET - 2023:

Graduate Aptitude Test- Biotechnology (GAT-B)
Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET)

Educational Qualification:

For Graduate Aptitude Test- Biotechnology (GAT-B) :-

Candidate who has either appeared or is due to appear in the final examination of their qualifying degree is eligible to apply for GAT-B 2023, under the result awaited (RA) category. Such candidate will have to submit the Undertaking/Attestation Form duly certified/stamped by the Head of the Institute (with address and name) from where the candidate is appearing for the qualifying degree. Failing to comply with this instruction will result in rejection of application.

For Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) :-

Bachelors (B.E./ B.Tech./M.B.B.S) and Masters (M.Sc./ M.Tech./ M.VSc./M. Pharm./ Integrated M.Sc./ M.Tech.) in any discipline of Biotechnology, Life Sciences such as Biomedical, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Botany, Chemistry, Computational Biology, Genetics, Microbiology, Zoology or any other allied areas of Biology/Life-Sciences.
Candidates admitted in any of the MSc/ MTech/ MVSc/ MSc(Agri) programmes supported under the DBT Post Graduate Teaching Programme shall be eligible to apply. Candidates who are yet to appear in the final semester examination or awaiting result of final semester shall also be eligible to apply.

Admission Details

National Testing Agency invites applications from eligible candidates for admission in various programmes. The method of admission will be Course Admission. Age relaxation will be given to the following categories: SC/ST Categories, Other Backward Classes, Person With Benchmark Disability and Women will be as per the government rules. The examination will be conducted through Online mode at All India level. After completion of all procedures, successful candidates will be granted admission to India, 442305.

Exam Date Rescheduled Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology (GAT-B)/Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) 2023 was scheduled to be held on 23 April 2023. In consultation with Regional Centre for Biotechnology, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has rescheduled the Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology (GAT-B)/Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) for 13 May 2023. The dates of downloading of City Intimation Slip and Admit Cards indicating Roll Number and Centre of Examination will be displayed shortly before the conduct of examination on the official websites of NTA www.nta.ac.in and DBT https://dbt.nta.ac.in/	Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology (GAT-B)/Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) 2023 was scheduled to be held on 23 April 2023. Procedure for Challenge of Answer key Released The National Testing Agency has uploaded the Provisional Answer Keys along with the Question Paper with Recorded Responses on the website https://dbt.nta.ac.in/ for candidates to challenge. The procedure (as enclosed) for the challenge of Answer Key may be used.The candidates, who are not satisfied with the answer key, may challenge the same by paying a fee of ₹ 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) per question challenged as a nonrefundable processing fee.
