Indian institute of Astrophysics invites application from eligible candidates for Walk-in-Interview for the following post:
Post Name: Technical Assistant (Optics)
Essential Qualification: Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical) / B.E. (Mechanical) / B.Tech (Mechanical) /ITI (Turner/Fitter/Tool and Die maker/Grinder) from a University/Institution recognized by UGC/AICTE with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
Essential Work Experience:
(1) For BE (Mechanical) / B Tech (Mechanical) having three years of experience in field of Optics fabrication and Metrology.
(2) For Diploma (Mechanical) having six years of experience with minimum of five years in field of Optics fabrication and Metrology.
(3) For 2 years ITI (Turner/Fitter/Tools and Die maker/Grinder) +1 year Apprentice should have seven years experience with minimum of five years in field of Optics fabrication and Metrology.
Desirable: Exposure to Metrology equipment such as Interferometer, theodolite, Autocollimator, handling optics, optical fibers and CNC and CMM machines.
