Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University invites online applications from eligible candidates for admission in Doctorate-postgraduate programme. The important details of the admission process are listed below -

Course name: Master of Veterinary Science

Educational Qualification:Bachelors degree in Veterinary and Animal Sciences recognized by the University with an OGPA of 6.0/10 or equivalent OGPA/ equivalent percentage of 50% marks in traditional system. For SC/ST/PwD candidate the GPA shall be 5.5/10 or equivalent

Course name: Master of Technology

Educational Qualification: Bachelors degree in Dairy Science and Technology/ Dairy Technology recognized by the University with an OGPA of 6.0/1.0 or equivalent OGPA,/equivalent percentage of 50% marks in the traditional system. For SC/ST/PwD candidate the OGPA shall be 5.5/10 or equivalent.

Course name: Doctor of Philosophy

Educational Qualification:

  • Masters Degree in the respective/ related subject recognized by University with OGPA of 7.5/10 or equivalent OGPA,/ equivalent percentage of marks at Masters Degree level. For SC/ST/PwD candidates the OGPA shall be 7.0/10 or equivalent.

  • Masters Degree in the respective/related subject recognized by University with OGPA of 7.5/1,0 or equivalent OGPA,/ equivalent percentage of marks at Masters Degree level. For SC/ST/PwD candidates the OGPA shall be 7.0/10 or equivalent

  • Persons having passed Post Graduate Degree (Masters Degree in any Life Science subjects) Examination with at least 550/0 marks or equivalent Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) or an equivalent degree recognized by UGC are eligible to apply. For SC/ST/PwD( differentiable candidates), the minimum marks required for application is 50% in the Postgraduate Examination.

  • Candidates possessing a Degree considered equivalent to M.Phil. Degree of an Indian institutional, from a Foreign Educational lnstitution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorised by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions, Shall be eligible for admission to PhD programme.

  • M.V.Sc./M.S.(Integrated) CCA / PG degree in Agriculture Sciences/ Fisheries/ M.Sc. Biological Sciences/ Physical Sciences, with at least 50% marks or equivalent Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) are eligible to apply. For SC/ST/PWD candidates, the minimum marks required for application is 45% in the Post Graduate Examination. In-service candidates who wish to apply to this programme should have published a minimum of two peer reviewed research articles
