National Thermal Power Corporation Limited invites applications for the following post(s) via direct recruitment:

Post Name: General Manager (Mining)

Essential Qualification: Engineering Degree in Mining from recognized University Institution with First Class Mine Managers Certificate of coal. 

Experience Profile & Requirement: 

1. Should have 23 years of post-qualification experience in the executive cadre in relevant area in a Govt/ Public Sector Undertaking or private company of repute. 

2. Should have experience in mine planning, Project implementation and Operation & Maintenance of Coal Mining Project (preferably open cast mine). 

3. Significant contribution in development of mines (preferably open cast mine) starting from green field project to operation of mine. 

4. Should have expertise in dealing with Govt. officials for getting various clearances for developing mines.

Post Name: General Manager (Distribution Business)

Essential Qualification: Engineering Degree in Electrical from recognized University/ Institution. 

Experience Profile & Requirement: 

1) Applicant should have adequate and in-depth experience in distribution sector in large organisation of repute in the energy sector. 

2) The applicant must have experience of at least 23 years in power sector including 10 years in Distribution. 

3) Applicant should have adequate experience of developing and expanding distribution business and should have very good understanding of commercial and financial aspects of electricity distribution, including knowledge of regulations.

Post Name: General Manager (Corporate Communication)

Essential Qualification: Post Graduate Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Communication/ Advertising & Communication Management/ Public Relations/ Mass Communication/ Journalism from recognized University/Institution. 

Experience Profile & Requirement: 

1. Should have 23 years of post-qualification experience in relevant area in a Govt/Public Sector Undertaking or private company of repute. 

2. Should have handled managing of public relations / corporate communication function in a large and reputed organization. 

3. Sufficient knowledge/ exposure in advertising and media, audio-visual publicity and experience in working with advertising agencies and various media such as press, radio, and television etc., liaising with various connected agencies, Managing media coverage during VVIP visits and handling protocol etc are essential. 

4. Exposure in media planning, press relations/press conference, writing articles/ news items and features for radio, television, press and social media would be necessary.
