Department of Food and Public Distribution invites applications for the following post via Deputation:

Post Name: Deputy Director (Storage and Research)

Essential Qualification: 

• Officers of the Central Government or State Governments or Union Territory or Autonomous Bodies or Public Sector Undertakings or Statutory Organizations or Universities or Semi Government Organizations:

(i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis; or

(ii) With five years regular service in posts in the Pay Band-3, 15600-39100, Grade Pay of 5400 (Level-10 in pay matrix); or

(iii) With six years regular service in posts in the Pay Band-2, 9300-34800 with Grade Pay of 4800 (Level-8 in pay matrix); and

• Masters Degree in Entomology or Plant Pathology or Biology or Bio- Chemistry from a recognized University; or

• Masters Degree in Agriculture with specialization in Entomology or Plant Pathology or Bio-Chemistry from a recognized University; or

• Masters Degree in Zoology or Botany or Chemistry from a recognized University; and

Essential Work Experience: Five years experience in teaching or research or extension work, including aspects related to storage and preservation of foodgrains in Government Organizations or Public Sector Undertakings or Universities.
