Department of Food and Public Distribution invites applications for the following posts via Deputation:

Post Name: Professor (Sugar Engineering)

Essential Qualification: (a) Officers of the Central Government or State Governments or Union Territory Administrations or Public Sector Undertakings or Universities or Recognized Research Institutions or Semi Government or Autonomous Bodies or Statutory Organizations.

  1. holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre department.

  2. with five years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in Level-12 in the Pay Matrix R78,800-2,09,200 or equivalent, in parent cadre or department.

  3. with ten years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in Level-11 in the Pay Matrix 67,700-2,08,700 or equivalent, in parent cadre or department.

(b) possessing the educational qualifications and experience prescribed as under.

  1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a recognised University or Institute or Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (AMIE) in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

  2. Associateship of National Sugar Institute in Sugar Engineering awarded by National Sugar Institute or post-graduate diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from Vasantdada Sugar Institute, Pune after completing degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.

  3. Ten years research or practical or teaching experience at degree level in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Sugar Engineering.

Desirable:

  1. Post-Graduate Degree in relevant branch of a Engineering from a recognised University or Institute.

  2. Three years experience of designing or operation or erection of modern sugar plant.
