Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research invites applications for the following posts via direct recruitment:
Post Name: Research Associate
Essential Qualification: Ph D in theoretical/computation physics or in areas related to the anticipated research, with at least one publication in a SCI journal.
Desirable: Applications are invited for postdoctoral positions in the group of Srikanth Sastry at JNCASR. Details of ongoing research may be found at http://www.jncasr.ac.in/sastry and through email inquiry. The areas of anticipated research include yielding in amorphous solids, memory formation and adaptable matter, self assembly, and modelling biological matter, and will involve theoretical and computational investigations. Suitable candidates are expected to have interests broadly in statistical mechanics, soft matter and condensed matter physics. Experience in glass physics, stochastic processes, elasticity, and closely related fields is desirable.
