Essential Qualification: A candidate must have possessed Bachelors Degree from a recognized University or Institution in India with at least one of the following subjects namely, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry and Zoology or a Bachelors Degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

Recruitment Details

Odisha Public Service Commission invites application for various posts. Total 176 number of vacancy/vacancies have been announced in the notification. Applications are invited with reference to advertisement number 08 OF 2023-24. The minimum age limit is 21 and the maximum age limit ranges to 40, depending on the specific post. Please look at the Official Notification for the age limits mentioned for each post. Age relaxation will be given to the following categories: SC/ST Categories, Other Backward Classes, Women, Ex-Servicemen and Person With Benchmark Disability will be as per the government rules. Quota/Reservation will be provided to the following categories: Women, Unreserved, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Ex-servicemen, PWBD Quota and Sports Quota . The examination will be conducted through Offline mode at Regional level. The selection process will include an Interview process. There will be a Physical Test. After compilation of all the procedures, the candidates will be posted at Odisha, India, 751016.

Written Examination Schedule Released

The Commission have decided to conduct a written examination for recruitment to the post of Assistant Conservator of Forests, (Group-A) (JB) and Forest Ranger, Group-B, will be held from 27.03.2024 to 07.04.2024 in five zones viz. Balasore, Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Sambalpur.For more details refer to examination notice attachment.

It is for information of all concerned that, the Written Examination for recruitment to the post of Assistant Conservator of Forests and Forest Ranger of Odisha Forest Service under Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department scheduled to be held from 27.03.2024 to 07.04.2024 is hereby postponed due to unavoidable circumstances. The revised examination schedule shall be notified latter.
