Essential Qualification:

  • Pass in Madhyamik Examination of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent

  • Ability to read ,write and speak in Bengali/Nepali

  • Knowledge of Bengali will be tested for candidates whose mother tongue is other than Bengali/Nepali at the time of Personality Test Candidature of the candidates with average and/poor performance in the said knowledge of Bengali Test shall liable to be cancelled

  • Must possess sound health and ability to undertake extensive tours in rural areas of West Bengal

Recruitment Details

West Bengal Public Service Commission invites application for various posts. Total 509 number of vacancy/vacancies have been announced in the notification. Applications are invited with reference to advertisement number 04/2023. The minimum age limit is 18 and the maximum age limit ranges to 40, depending on the specific post. Please look at the Official Notification for the age limits mentioned for each post. Age relaxation will be given to the following categories: SC/ST Categories, Other Backward Classes and Person With Benchmark Disability will be as per the government rules. Quota/Reservation will be provided to the following categories: Unreserved, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, PWBD Quota, Ex-servicemen and Sports Quota . The examination will be conducted through Offline mode at Regional level. There will be a Physical Test.
