ICAR Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture invites application from eligible candidates for Walk-in-Interview for the following posts:
Post Name: Research Associate
Essential Qualification:
(a) Ph.D. in Soil & Water Conservation Engineering / Land and Water Management Engineering / Water resource engineering/ Computer Applications/ IT/ Geoinformatics & Surveying Technology/Remote Sensing and GIS or equivalent
[OR]
(b) Masters degree in Soil & Water Conservation Engineering / Land and Water Management Engineering / Water resource engineering/ / Computer Applications/ IT/ Geoinformatics & Surveying Technology/Remote Sensing and GIS or equivalent with 4/5 years of Bachelors degree having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average, with at least three years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/Associateship/Training/other engagements
Desirable:
(a) Those with 3 years Bachelors degree in Basic Sciences must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification, equivalent, or Ph.D. in any of the given disciplines.
(b) One research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI)/NAAS rated (≥ 4.0) Journal
(c) Experience in drought monitoring, modelling, programming with Python/R, Remote Sensing with GEE platform is desirable.

Essential Qualification:
(a) Masters Degree in any of the following subjects with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelors degree having First Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average with at least 2 years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associateship/Training/other engagements.
(b) Agrometeorology/ Agronomy/ Soil & Water Conservation Engineering / Land and Water Management Engineering / Water resource engineering/ / Computer Applications/ IT/ Geoinformatics Surveying Technology/Remote Sensing and GIS or equivalent.
Desirable:
(a) Experience in crop modeling (DSSAT preferably), GIS, programming with Python/R is desirable
(b) Candidates with Published research papers are desirable
