National Brain Research Centre invites online application from eligible candidates for admission in Doctorate programme. The important details of the admission process are listed below -


Course name: Doctor of Philosophy (Neuroscience)

Essential Qualification:

  1. Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS-2021)
  2. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE-2020/GATE-2021), only for selected subjects.
  3. Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST-2021)
  4. Joint Research Fellowship (JRF) examination in selected subjects conducted by CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR
  5. UGC-NET Lectureship qualified on/after Dec. 2018


Course name: Master of Science (Neuroscience)

Essential Qualification:

  1. Candidates need to take Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS-2021) (To be held on March 7, 2021) examination.
  2. Candidates who joint the M.Sc. programme will have option to continue in the Ph.D programme for admission upon fulfilling the required criteria.
