National Highways Authority of India invites applications for the following post via Deputation:

Post Name: Manager (Rajbhasha)

Essential Qualification: 

• Masters degree in Hindi or its equivalent from a recognized University and English as a subject at the degree level; OR

• Masters degree of a recognized University in English or its equivalent with Hindi as one of the subjects at the degree level; OR

• Masters degree in any discipline from a recognized University with Hindi and English as one of the subjects at the degree level; OR

• Masters degree of a recognized University in any subject with English medium and Hindi as a subject at the degree level.

• Through deputation from officers working under the Central Government, State Governments or Union Territories/Universities or recognized Research Centres/Public Sector Undertakings/Semi Government or Statutory or Autonomous Organizations and other Government Bodies:

(i) Who are in Pay Band-3 (15,600-39,100/- with Grade Pay of 6600/- (equivalent to Level 11 of the Pay Matrix as per Seventh Pay Income in the Central Dearness Allowance System) or Industrial Dearness Allowance on regular basis in their parent cadre/department holding a similar post in the equivalent pay scale in the system; Or

(ii) Who after appointment in their parent cadre/department are in Pay Band-3 (15600-39100) 5400/- with Grade Pay (equivalent to Level 10 of Pay Matrix as per 7th Pay Commission in the Central Dearness Allowance system) or Industrial Dearness Allowance with four years service on regular basis in equivalent posts in the same scale of pay in the same system; Or

(iii) Those who, after appointment in their parent cadre/department, are drawn in Band-2 (9300-34800) 4800/- with Grade Pay (equivalent to Level 8 of the Pay Matrix as per 7th Pay Commission in the Central Dearness Allowance system) or Industrial Dearness Allowance with seven years service on regular basis in equivalent posts in the same scale of pay in the same system;

Essential Work Experience: Eight years experience in using/working on terminology in Hindi and translation work from English to Hindi and vice-versa, especially technical and scientific literature.

Desirable: 

(i) Knowledge of any one of the languages mentioned in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution other than Hindi at Matriculation or equivalent level from a recognized Board. Or

(ii) Degree or Diploma in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa from a recognized University.
