Central Electricity Regulatory Commission invites applications for the following posts via direct recruitment:

Post Name: Senior Advisor

Essential Qualification:

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Finance or Master Degree in Business Administration or equivalent from a reputed institution/University

• Competencies: The candidate should have knowledge of the following: The regulatory framework in the electricity sector of India.

• Relevant legislation of India.

• The policy regime including National Electricity Policy and Tariff Policy of India

• Knowledge of Electricity Markets.

• Well versed with relevant Acts, Policies, Regulations prevalent in the Electricity Sector including the operational and commercial aspects of thermal generating stations and hydro generating stations

• Should have in-depth knowledge of CERC tariff regulations and practices followed by other regulators

Essential Work Experience: At least 10 years working experience in regulatory sector (of which at least five years of experience should be in Power sector)
