Soil and Land Use Survey of India invites applications for the following posts via Deputation/Promotion :

Post Name : Chief Soil Survey Officer

Essential Qualification : Officers under the Central or State Governments or Union Territories or Public Sector Undertakings or Universities or Recognized Research Institutions or Statutory or Autonomous Organizations or Indian Council of Agriculture Research, possessing the following service, educational qualification :

(1) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or Department;

(2) service in the grade rendered after pay appointment thereto on a regular basis in the scale of pti-:; ns.tseoo-39100, Grade Pay : GP 7600, Level - 12 for officers from Central Govemment or in similar or analogous scale or grade for others in the parent cadre or department;

(3) with ten years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the scale of pay f6-r; n..tsooo-39100, Grade Pay : GP 6600, Level-11 for officers fiom Central Govemment or in similar or analogous scale or grade for others in the parent cadre or department;

(4) M.Sc in Soil Science or M.Sc. in Agricultural Chemistry with specialization in Soil Science form a recognized University.

Essential Work Experience :

(1) 12 years experience in Soil Survey.

(2) Minimum one year experience in aerial photo-interpretation or any other branch of Soil Conservation including survey planning and monitoring and generation of digital spatial data using Remote Sensing and Geographical Information System.

(3) The departmental Senior Soil Survey Officer (PB-3; Rs. 15600-39100, Grade pay: GP 7600) with five years regular service in the post or Soil Survey Offtcer ipg-:; Rr. 15600-39100, Grade pav: GP 6600) with ten years regular service in the post shall also be tonsidered along with the outsiders. In case he/she is deemed to have been filled by promotion. The departmental officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion will not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation Similarly deputationist shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment by promotion.
