CSIR National Chemical Laboratory invites applications for the following posts via direct recruitment:

Post Name: Project Associate-I

Essential Qualification: Masters degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences, Media & Mass Communication, Science Communication, English or Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.

Desirable: Degree/Diploma from a recognised university/ Institution in Journalism or Mass Communication or Media Studies. Impeccable standards with written English, grammar, editing, composition, vocabulary and pronunciation. Strong Interpersonal skills. The candidates having experience in reporting, writing, editing and producing content on science and technology related subjects, translation in Hindi/English at any place of repute in science R&D, communication, newspaper or news agency will be preferred.

 

Post Name: Principal Project Associate

Essential Qualification:

• Masters degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences, Media & Mass Communication, Science Communication, English or Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent; and

• Eight years of working experience in reporting, writing, editing and producing content on science and technology related subjects, translation in Hindi/ English in Industrial and Academic Institutions or S&T Organizations and Scientific activities and services or at any place of repute in science R&D, communication, newspaper or news agency. or

• ME/M.Tech in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent with six year experience in reporting, writing, editing and producing content on science and technology related subjects, translation in Hindi/ English in Industrial and Academic Institutions or S&T Organizations and Scientific activities and services or at any place of repute in science R&D, communication, newspaper or news agency. or

• Doctoral Degree in Science/ Engineering/ Technology/ Pharma/ Media & Mass Communication/ Science Communication/ English/ MD/ MS from a recognized University or equivalent; and

• Four years of working experience in reporting, writing, editing and producing content on science and technology related subjects, translation in Hindi/ English in Industrial and Academic Institutions or S&T Organizations and Scientific activities and services or at any place of repute in science R&D, communication, newspaper or news agency.

Desirable: Degree/Diploma from a recognised university/ Institution in Journalism or Mass Communication or Media Studies or Scientific Communications. Hands-on experience of content acquisition leading to overall production, mainly editorial related to magazine/ coffee table books/ Newsletter. Candidate with following skills will be preferred:

• impeccable standards with written English, grammar, editing, composition, vocabulary and pronunciation

• strong interpersonal skills

• a strong interest in science

• the ability to think logically and understand complex ideas and data

• good organizational and time management skills

• ability to work under pressure to deadlines

• a sound understanding of standard computer programs
