National Institute of Solar Energy invites applications for the following posts via direct recruitment:

Post Name: Research Associate

Essential Qualification:

  1. Ph.D in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics /Electronics and Communication/ Mechanical / Renewable Energy/ Computer Science Engineering/ Atmospheric Science, or related field.

  2. M.Tech in Engineering (Electrical / Electrical & Electronics /Electronics and Communication/ Mechanical / Renewable Energy/ Computer science/Atmospheric Science), or related field with at least three years of experience in relevant field (mentioned in job requirement). Experience in solar data analysis will be preferred.

  3. Those who have submitted their Ph.D thesis are also eligible to apply. Selection in such cases will be subject to the condition that PhD viva-voce done & declared qualified for award of PhD/awarded PhD degree before the expiry of the validity of the award offer.

  4. The candidate applying for RA must have at least one research publication in standard refereed journal as listed in Journal Citation Reports (JCR).

  5. Excellent written and verbal communication.

Desirable Experience:

  1. Certification in data science and machine learning.

  2. Understanding of solar potential assessment and forecasting.

  3. Implement data science solutions that may involve machine learning or data science techniques.

  4. Knowledge of statistical approaches, incl. advanced machinelearning techniques.

  5. Proficiency with database programming languages such as SQL, R or Python.

  6. Must have working experience with GIS based mapping tools

Recruitment Details

National Institute of Solar Energy invites application for various posts. Total 1 number of vacancy/vacancies have been announced in the notification. Applications are invited with reference to advertisement number SDD/58/2/2023-LAB. The minimum age limit is 18 and maximum age limit is 35 as on date.
