National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research invites application from eligible candidates for Walk-in-Interview for the following posts:

Post Name: Junior Research Fellow

Essential Qualification:

  1. MSc in Oceanography/Atmospheric Science/B.E or B.Tech in Electrical engineering (with atleast 60% marks) from a recognized university.

  2. CSIR-UGC NET-JRF/ NET-LS/ GATE qualified.

  3. Masters Degree in Marine Science/Marine Biology/Environmental Science or equivalent (with atleast 60% marks) from a recognized university

Desirable:

  1. Experience in climate data analysis and statistical analysis. Knowledge in programming language Python/Matlab/Fortran and operating system Unix/Linux.

  2. Knowledge of biological/chemical sample collection and analysis.

  3. Experience/knowledge of conducting field observations / sampling.

  4. Participate in scientific expeditions for sample collection in Southern Ocean/Antarctica.

  5. Basic knowledge of programming language (Matlab/ Python/R or similar) will be an advantage

Recruitment Details

National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research invites application for various posts. Total 2 number of vacancy/vacancies have been announced in the notification. The minimum age limit is 18 and maximum age limit is 27 as on date. Age relaxation will be given to the following categories: SC/ST Categories, Other Backward Classes, Persons With Benchmark Disability and Ex-Servicemen will be as per the government rules.
