Application Summary
National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research invites application from eligible candidates for Walk-in-Interview for the following posts:
Post Name: Junior Research Fellow
Essential Qualification:
MSc in Oceanography/Atmospheric Science/B.E or B.Tech in Electrical engineering (with atleast 60% marks) from a recognized university.
CSIR-UGC NET-JRF/ NET-LS/ GATE qualified.
Masters Degree in Marine Science/Marine Biology/Environmental Science or equivalent (with atleast 60% marks) from a recognized university
Desirable:
Experience in climate data analysis and statistical analysis. Knowledge in programming language Python/Matlab/Fortran and operating system Unix/Linux.
Knowledge of biological/chemical sample collection and analysis.
Experience/knowledge of conducting field observations / sampling.
Participate in scientific expeditions for sample collection in Southern Ocean/Antarctica.
Basic knowledge of programming language (Matlab/ Python/R or similar) will be an advantage
