National Health Systems Resource Centre invites applications for the following posts via direct recruitment:

Post Name: Senior Consultant (Public Health Administration)

Essential Qualification:

  1. Bachelors degree Medicine/Dental/Nursing/AYUSH / Pharmacy / Allied medical subjects with.

  2. Post-graduation or higher qualification in public health, community health, preventive & social medicine (MPH, MD Community Medicine/ Community health administration), MBA healthcare management/public health management from a recognised University in India.

  3. At least five years of post-PG work experience for MPH/ MBA healthcare and Three years for MD Community Medicine/ Community Health Administration, preferably in National Health Mission/ National Health Programmes/ health planning/ Health policy and advocacy/ Public Health System Strengthening or Health Care Management.

  4. Language proficiency in English and Hindi.

  5. Demonstrated experience in operationalising health programs at the field level, strengthening the state, district, and block-level health systems.

  6. Experience working in a public health system at the field level, working towards its strengthening or in Health Care Management.

  7. Competent and experience to work in a team and lead a team.

  8. Competency and experience in working on public health issues at program or policy level, monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, public health administration and governance.

  9. Prior experience and proficiency in participatory planning, PIP appraisals, developing training modules & guidelines, High-priority Districts/Aspirational Districts, and in States and Aspirational districts.

  10. Uundertaken or contributed to innovative activities leading to positive outcomes.

  11. Has conducted capacity-building trainings on various public health/health system areas.

  12. Ability to lead and guide the team in providing technical guidance.

Desirable:

  1. Candidates working for similar programs or activities at the central (or) state level shall be preferred.

  2. Working experience at District or below in Secondary/Primary health care level services.

  3. Candidates with prior experience working with the Government health system or with technical support bodies shall be preferred.

  4. Research experience/ Published work in the area of health systems or public health
