National Institute of Hydrology Roorkee invites application from eligible candidates for Walk-in-Interview for the following posts:
Post Name: Research Associate-I
Essential Qualification:
1. Doctorate (Ph.D) in Civil Engineering/Water Resources or Sciences, or
2. Having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after M.E/M.Tech in Civil/Water Resources Engineering, Hydrology, Soil & Water Conservation Engg. Earth Sciences, Geoinformatics.
3. Masters Degree in Geology/Earth Sciences/RS & GIS, or
4. Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology, in Civil or Agricultural Engineering.
Desirable:
1. Experience in hydrological modelling using VIC, SWAT, SNOWMOD and MIKE 11 models.
2. Preference will be given to the candidate having knowledge of AUTO-CAD (for designing & drawing)/ ARC GIS and Rain Water Harvesting as well as with higher or additional qualifications/ research experience/research publications in peer reviewed journals.
Post Name: Junior Research Fellow
Essential Qualification:
1. Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course in Civil Engg./ Agricultural Engg./Environmental Engg./ Water Resources/Hydrology/Remote Sensing and GIS/Geomatics/Geo-informatics/Earth Science. or
2. Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science and Selection through a process described through any one of the following:
(a) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
(b) The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
Post Name: Resource Person (Junior)
Essential Qualification:
1. Post Graduate Degree in Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Environmental Sciences/ Environmental Engineering/Hydrology/Water Resources /Agricultural Engineering/Civil Engineering.
2. Persons with higher/additional Qualification, research experience, published papers, and post qualification experience in the relevant field would be preferred.
3. Post Graduate Degree in Environmental sciences/ Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Environmental Engineering/ Chemical Engineering.
4. Persons with higher/additional Qualification, research experience, published papers, and post qualification experience in the field of wastewater treatment and water microbiology would be preferred.
