Exam name - Indian Statistical Service Examination

Essential Educational Qualification-

A candidate for the Indian Statistical Service must have obtained a Bachelors Degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subject

a Masters degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutes established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or a Foreign University approved by the Central Government from time to time.

Recruitment Details

Union Public Service Commission invites application for various posts. Total 47 number of vacancy/vacancies have been announced in the notification. Applications are invited with reference to advertisement number 07/2020-ISS. The minimum age limit is 21 and maximum age limit is 30 as on date. Age relaxation will be given to the following categories: Persons With Benchmark Disability, SC/ST Categories, Government Servant/Departmental Candidate, Ex-Servicemen and Other Backward Classes will be as per the government rules. The examination will be conducted through Offline mode at All India level. There will be a Physical Test.
