Post Name: Associate Professor

Essential Qualification:

1. A medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian medical council Act of 1956 (Persons possessing qualifications included in part II of third schedule should also fulfill the condition specified in section 13(3) of the Act.

2. A post graduate qualification e.g. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.

3. Post graduate qualification Masters degree in the concerned discipline.

4. A doctorate degree of recognized university.

Essential Work Experience:

1. Six years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD/MS or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

2. Six years teaching and/or research experience in the discipline/subject concerned after obtaining the doctorate degree.

3. Four years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of DM/MCh (2 years after MD/MS or 5 years recognized course after MBBS) in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. OR

4. Three years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of speciality for the candidate possessing 3 years recognized D.M./M.Ch. degree in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. 

Post Name: Assistant Professor

Essential Qualification:

1. Same as essential criteria 1 and 2 for Associate Professor stated above.

2. M.D in Hospital Administration or Masters in Hospital Administration from an MCI recognized Institution/ University or recognized qualification equivalent thereto.

3. Same as essential criteria 1 & 2 for Associate Professor stated above.

4. DM in the respective discipline/subject for medical super specialities and MCh in the respective discipline/subject for surgical super specialties (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or a qualification recognized equivalent there to.

5. Post graduate qualification e.g. Masters degree in the concerned discipline. (For Medical Biotechnology, Masters degree in Life Science, Immunology, Biochemistry, Microbiology and Genetic)

6. A doctorate degree of recognized university.

Essential Work Experience:

1. Three years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD/MS or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

2. One-year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of DM/MCh (2 years after MD/MS or 5 years recognized course after MBBS) or qualification recognized equivalent thereto. However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing the 3 years recognized degree of DM/MCh or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

3. Three years teaching and/or research experience in the discipline/subject concerned after obtaining the doctorate degree.

4. Three years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MDS qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
