Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati invites offline/online application from eligible candidates for admission in PhD programme. The important details of the admission process are listed below -

Course name: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)

Essential Qualification: GATE or NET.

Educational Qualification:

For CSE:

  1. Masters degree in Engineering/Technology in the relevant area with a minimum Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) of 6.5 or 60% of marks.OR

  2. MSc (CS)/MSc (IT)/MCA/Equivalent Non-Tech Master’s Degrees in the relevant area with a minimum Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) of 6.5 or 60% of marks having a GATE/NET/SLET score in CS/IT OR

  3. Four-year Bachelors degree in Engineering/Technology/Medical Sciences or equivalent in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 7.0 or 65% of marks.

For ECE:

  1. Masters degree in Engineering/Technology in the relevant area with a minimum Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) of 6.5 or 60% of marks. OR

  2. MSc (Electronics) or Equivalent Non-Tech Master’s Degrees in the relevant area with a minimum Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) of 6.5 or 60% of marks having a GATE/NET/SLET score in ECE/EE/IN/CS/BM OR

  3. Four-year Bachelors degree in Engineering/Technology/Medical Sciences or equivalent in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 7.0 or 65% of marks
