Essential Qualification:

• For Nyaya sub domain: The applicant must have an M.A./ Acharya degree with distinction or first class. Also, he or she should know basic Sanskrit and basic Nyāya. It is expected that the applicant would be able to read Sanskrit texts and translate those into modern languages.

• For Holistic Medicine and Wellness: The applicant must have a first class degree in M. Pharm/M. S. (Pharm.)/M. Tech (Pharm)/M. Tech in Medicinal Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacognosy. The candidates should have basic degree in pharmacy (B. Pharm) or M.Sc. in Chemistry (organic/natural products). It is expected that the applicant would be able to read Classical Ayurvedic texts in Sanskrit or any other Indian language and translate those into modern languages.

• For Chemistry of dyes sub-domain: The applicant must have a first class degree in M.Sc Chemistry or related subject. It is expected that the applicant would be able to read Classical texts in Sanskrit or any other Indian language and translate those into modern languages.

• For Math and Astronomy in India sub-domain: The applicant must have a first class degree in M.Sc. in Maths, Physics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Applied Statistics OR B.Tech in any branch of engineering OR M.A./Acharya in Jyotisha or related disciplines. It is expected that the applicant would be able to read Classical texts in Sanskrit or any other Indian language and translate those into modern languages.

Desirable: Good reading, writing, and communication skills in English (demonstrated proofs such as published articles - popular or otherwise at college level or upward will be an added benefit); handling basic computer software for writing, plotting and doing basic mathematics; NET/GATE qualification; UG or PG degree in Sanskrit, Candidates with 1-2 years of experience on HPLC/LC-MS in an industry/ academic laboratory is desired (for 2 and 3 above).
