National Institute of Urban Affairs invites applications for the following post via direct recruitment :

Post Name : Social Safeguards Officer

Essential Qualification :

(1) Post graduate or equivalent level preferably with a focus on Environmental management, Environmental Science, Ecology & Biodiversity Management, Environmental Engineering, Sustainable Development or related field from a recognized university or Institute;

(2) Deep understanding of World Bank E&S Standards (WB ESS) and applicable EHS Guidelines as well as National laws and regulations;

(3) Understanding of Environmental safeguard policies and reporting systems of Bilateral / Multilateral Development Agencies such as World Bank, ADB, AFD, KfW;

(4) Ability to synthesize and analyze diverse E&S related data andinformation and preparing high quality, professional and timely reports;

(5) Excellent communication, client relationship, and interpersonal skills.

(6) Self-driven with a high degree of responsiveness and proactivity;

Essential Work Experience : Minimum 5 years of relevant experience; with at-least 3 years of experience in conducting Social Impact Assessment (SIA) and developing Social Safeguards Management Plans, Gender Action Plans and Livelihood Restoration Plans;
