Essential Qualification:
For Direct Recruitment -
Masters degree in chemistry/Bio-chemistry/pharmaceutical chemistry / Microbiology / pharmacy / pharmacology / physiology / Botany/Veterinary Science from a recognised University or equivalent
For Deputation/Promotion - Officers under the Central Government/State Governments / Recognised Research Institutions / Public Sector Undertakings / Semi-Government / Autonomous or Statutory Organisation:-
holding analogous posts on regular basis; or
With 5 years regular service in posts in the Pay level 12 (78,800 - 2,09,200) of 7th CPC pay matrix (pre-revised scale of 3700-5000 or equivalent)
With 10 years regular service in posts in the Pay Level 11 (67,700 - 2,08,700) of 7th CPC pay matrix (pre-revised scale of 3000- 4500) or equivalent; and
The Departmental Senior Scientific Officer-| (Chemistry) in level — 11 of 7th CPC (67700-208700) of the pay matrix with 10 years regular service in the grade will also be considered along with outsiders and in case he/she is selected for appointment to the post, the same shall be deemed to have been filled by promotion.
The departmental officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation. Similarly deputationists shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment by promotion.
Essential Work Experience: 12 year experience in testing of drugs and coordinating the activities of different branches of a drug testing laboratory
Desirable: Doctorate degree in the relevant subject from a recognised University or equivalent.
