CSIR National Institute of Oceanography invites applications for the following posts via direct recruitment:

Post Name: Project Associate-I

Essential Qualification:

(i) M.Sc Hydrochemistry/ Marine Chemistry/ Marine Science with specialization in Chemical Oceanography/ Analytical Chemistry/ Chemistry.

(ii) MSc Marine Biology/ Marine Sciences/ Zoology

Desirable:

(i) The candidate having experience in carrying out chemical analyses of seawater, sediment and biota will be preferred.Selected candidate will have to carry out extensive field work onboard research vessels and fishing boats, perform the processing and analysis of water, sediments and biota, maintain and manage project database, and preparation of reports.

(ii) Work experience on seaweed farming.For field studies exclusively on seaweed cultivation along Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka and Kerala coast
