Essential Qualification:
M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Physics/Applied Physics/Photonics/Solid State Physics or other topics in Physics.
B. Tech. or equivalent degree in Engineering Physics/ Photonics
M. Tech./ MS or equivalent degree in Engineering Physics/ Applied Physics/Optics/Photonics/Solid State Physics.
M.Phil. or equivalent degree in Physics/Applied Physics/Photonics/Solid State Physics or other topics in Physics.
The eligibility criteria in the qualifying degree is First Class (a minimum of 60% marks or Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) of 6.0 on the scale of 0-10)
The candidates must also fulfil any ONE of the following additional requirements:
Selection in National Eligibility Test – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) in Physical Sciences
Valid GATE score in Physics.
Selection in a National level examination conducted by Central Govt. Departments and their agencies and Institutions such as DST, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, etc. in Physical Sciences.
Desirable: Good background in Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics. Strong aptitude for experimental work. Experience in working with lasers, high vacuum generation, time of flight mass spectroscopy.
