Post Name: Project Engineer-I (Mechanical Engineering)

Essential Qualification:

  • Full-time post graduate degree in M.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) specialisation in Design / Manufacturing Engineering with 60% marks in the aggregate or equivalent grade from a reputed and recognized University/Institution with minimum 1 year of experience in designing optomechanical systems of astronomical instruments for space applications. Hands on experience in CAD and FE tools NX Nastran, Hyperworks to generate solid and FE models, assemblies. Expertise in FE analysis for dynamic load spectrums. Expertise in Thermo elastic analysis, nonlinear and transient thermal dynamics. Hands on experience in optomechanical modelling and analysis to check and correct the optical aberrations is essential. Candidate should be willing to work on Shift Basis as and when required OR

  • BE./B Tech (Mechanical Engineering) with 60% marks in the aggregate or equivalent grade from a reputed and recognized University/Institution with minimum 3 years’ experience in the field of design/ manufacturing engineering/ designing optomechanical systems of astronomical instruments for space applications. Hands on experience in CAD and FE tools NX Nastran, Hyperworks to generate solid and FE models, assemblies. Expertise in FE analysis for dynamic load spectrums. Expertise in Thermo elastic analysis, nonlinear and transient thermal dynamics. Hands on experience in opto-

Desirable: Opto-mechanical instrumentation, expertise in CAE packages like Solid works, Ansys and Inventor. Experience in mechanical metrology and integration is desirable. Experience in operating vibration shaker and thermos vacuum chamber for space instruments is preferred. Good in documentation and good communication skill.

  • Full-time post graduate degree in M.Sc (Tech-Optics), M.Tech (Optical Engineering), M.Sc (Optics/Applied Optics) with 60% marks in the aggregate or equivalent grade from a reputed and recognized University/Institution under UGC or Central or State Governments with minimum 1 year of experience in the field of Optics Metrology/Optical/Astronomical instrumentation/Designing optical systems using software such as ZEMAX/Code-V is required. Candidate should be willing to work on Shift Basis as and when required OR

  • B.E./B.Tech (Optical Engineering) with 60% marks in the aggregate or equivalent grade from a reputed and recognized University/Institution under UGC or Central or State Governments with minimum 3 years of experience in the field of optics design, instrumentation and Optics Metrology/Optical/Astronomical instrumentation/ Designing optical systems using software such as ZEMAX/Code-V is required. Candidate should be willing to work on Shift Basis as and when required.

Desirable:Optics test and Calibration Simulation, programming knowledge in Python, MATLAB, good in documentation and good communication skills.
