Essential Qualification:

1. PhD in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Earth Sciences, or related fields (candidates who have submitted their dissertation may also apply)

Desirable: The prospective candidate is expected to have a strong background in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). The candidate is expected to learn and use open source tools to model urban meteorology using the Institutes High Performance Computing facilities.The candidate will also be expected to collect and analyze historical weather data. Candidates possessing an understanding of meteorology and climate change will be given preference. The candidates must possess strong written and oral communication skills. As a postdoctoral researcher, the candidate is also expected to collaborate with other team members on various interdisciplinary projects, including the establishment of a new laboratory at the Institute.
