National Institute of Urban Affairs invites applications for the following post(s) via direct recruitment:

Post Name: Urban Infrastructure Specialist

Essential Qualification:

(i) Master’s degree or equivalent in economics, finance, engineering, management, policy or a related field OR

(ii) Bachelors in Civil engineering- construction department, from a recognized university;

(iii) Good knowledge and understanding of the Spatial Planning and Construction Acts, by-laws regulating the construction of similar public facilities, technical regulations, general and special technical conditions and professional codes

(iv) Understanding of the urban sector and governance structures in the country; as well as national missions and programs such as the Smart Cities Mission, AMRUT, Jal Jeevan Mission, National Action Plan for Climate Change etc.

(v) Good social, analytical, inter-personal and planning skills.

(vi) Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Essential Work Experience:

(i) Minimum 10 years of professional experience in the relevant field of civil engineering, infrastructure development, especially in preparation of geo- technical/construction technical documentation

(ii) Experience in working in complex and large infrastructure and/or civil works, particularly in the field of construction technical project documentation development as well as construction supervision;
