Post Name 1: Senior Scientist and Head
Essential Qualification:
a. For Disciplines other than Engineering subject:
Doctoral degree in relevant subject including relevant basic sciences (For example,
Agriculture/Horticulture/Animal Sciences/Fisheries/Home Science) with 8 years’ experience in the
relevant subject as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in the pay
band-3 of Rs.15600/–39100/- with Grade Pay of Rs.5400/-, Rs.6000/-, Rs.7000/-, Rs.8000/- having
made contribution to research/teaching/extension education as evidenced by published work/
innovations and impact.
b. For Engineering Disciplines:
Doctoral degree in Agricultural Engineering with 6 years’ experience as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension
Specialist or in an equivalent position in the pay band-3 of Rs.15600/–39100/- with Grade Pay of
Rs.5400/-, Rs.6000/-, Rs.7000/-, Rs.8000/- having made contribution to research/teaching/extension
education as evidenced by published work/ innovations and impact.
OR
Masters degree in Agricultural Engineering with 10 years experience as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension
Specialist or in an equivalent position in the pay band-3 of Rs.15600/–39100/- with Grade Pay of
Rs.5400/, Rs.6000/-,Rs.7000/-, Rs.8000/- having made contribution to research/teaching/extension
education as evidenced by published work/ innovations and impact
Desirable: a. Ability to read, write and speak regional language for proper interaction with the local farmers.
b. Knowledge of agricultural scenario of West Bengal and the operational district.
c. NET in the relevant subject/field.
d. Minimum two years of work experience with responsibility in KVK system.
Post Name 2: Supporting Staff Grade-I
Essential Qualification: Matriculate or equivalent passed OR ITI passed from any government recognised/authorised institution .
Desirable:i) Ability to read, write and speak regional language for proper interaction with the local farmers.
ii) Knowledge of agricultural scenario of West Bengal and the operational district.
iii) Minimum two years of work experience with responsibility in KVK system.
