Essential Qualification: 

(a) Scientists or Technologists working in the Central Government or State Governments or Universities or recognised research Institutions or Semi Government or Statutory or Autonomous Organisations in India or abroad:

(i) holding analogous post on regular basis: or

(ii) with five years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in the pay band -3,15600-39100 with grade pay of 5400 (Level 10 as per Vllth CPC) or equivalent:

(b) Possessing the following educational qualifications and experience:

(i) Masters Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences or Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognised University or equivalent.

(ii) Four years experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisation and scientific activities and services.

Desirable: Doctorate Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences or Masters Degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognised University or equivalent.
