Essential Qualification:
Masters (Post-Graduate) degree (or equivalent grade in point scale wherever grading system is applicable) from an Indian University in the relevant/allied subject with 55% marks or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
In addition to fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have passed the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grants Commission or CSIR or a similar examination accredited by the University Grants Commission such as SLET/SET or those who have passed the University Grants Commission M. Phil/Ph.D degree) Regulations 2009 or 2016 and as amended from time to time, as the case may be, or the degree awarded to Ph.D. NET / SLET / SET exemption will be given: Provided that before the date 11th July, 2009, MPhil / Ph.D. The institutes awarding degrees to the candidates registered for the program shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/By-laws/Regulations. All such Ph.D. Holding candidates will be exempted from NET / SLET / SET for recruitment and further appointment to the posts of Assistant Professor / Guest Teacher / Contract Teacher, subject to fulfillment of the following conditions:
