Directorate General of Shipping Mumbai invites applications for the following posts via Deputation:

Post Name: Nautical Adviser

Essential Qualification: Officers of the Central Government or the State Government or Union Territory Administration or recognized Universities or recognized Research Institutions or Public Sector Undertaking or Semi-Government or Statutory or Autonomous Organizations:

(A) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or

(ii) with three years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the pay band-4, 37400-67000+ grade pay of 10,000/- or equivalent in the A-12011/9/2022-MA parent cadre or department; and

(B) Possessing the following educational qualification and experience:

(i) Extra Masters Certificate of Competency with twelve years experience in survey and inspection of foreign going merchant ships and equipment on board such a ship; or

Master of Science Degree in Maritime Affairs awarded by a recognised University with fifteen years experience in survey and equipment on board such a ship;

(ii) Certificate of Competency as Master (Foreign Going Ships) with five years experience as Deck Officer of which one year must have been in the capacity of a Master on a foreign going
