Central Institute of Indian Languages invites applications for the following posts via direct recruitment:


Post Name: Senior Fellow

Essential Qualification: Doctorate degree in KANNADA (Language, Literature and Culture) or Linguistic related KANNADA Languages with Masters Degree in and on the same subjects from a recognized University with at least 55% marks. Retired persons are preferred.

Essential Work Experience:

  1. Minimum 10 years of teaching and research experience in a recognized University or College or Institution. At least 10 reputed publications and 10 papers in and on KANNANDA, especially in CLASSICAL KANNADA.
  2. Knowledge of working on computers.


Post Name: Associate Fellow

Essential Qualification: Doctorate degree in KANNADA (Language, Literature and Culture) or Linguistic related KANNADA Languages with Masters Degree in and on the same subjects from a recognized University with at least 55% marks. Retired persons are preferred.

Essential Work Experience: .

  1. Minimum 5 years of teaching and research experience in a recognized University or College or Institution. At least 10 reputed publications and 5 papers in and on KANNADA, especially in CLASSICAL KANNNADA.
  2. Knowledge of working on computers.


Post Name: Upper Division Clerk

Essential Qualification: Any degree from a recognized university.

Essential Work Experience:

  1. 5 years of experience in Accounts / establishment as clerk / assistant.
  2. Proficiency in English & Kannada typing on computer.
  3. Hands on experience of working in computer packages such as MS word, Excel, Spread sheet etc.


Post Name: Lower Division Clerk

Essential Qualification: Any degree from a recognized university.

Essential Work Experience:

  1. 2 years of experience in Accounts / establishment as Lower division clerk / assistant.
  2. Proficiency in English & Kannada typing on computer.
  3. Hands on experience of working in computer packages such as MS word, Excel, Spread sheet etc.
