CSIR National Chemical Laboratory invites applications for the following posts via direct recruitment:

Post Name: Project Associate-I

Essential Qualification: 

• Masters degree in Science / Social Science or Masters with Science Communication specialisation or Journalism or post graduate diploma in Journalism / mass communication or Bachelors degree in Engineering / Technology from a recognised University or equivalent.

• Master degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / Life Sciences / MVSc or Bachelors degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent.

• Masters in computer engineering or MCM / MCA /MCS or MSc in computer science or B Tech/BE or equivalent software development degree from recognized university.

Desirable: 

• Preference will be given to the candidates having six months / one or two year experience in journalism /writing / content creation with a passion for science writing. Should have experience of content / material creation like report making, newsletters, brochures,presentations, handouts, flyers etc. To assist in developing science based documents, articles,organizing outreach activity, online and offline content development for outreach, search, compile relevant information, may assist in organizing events and training programs. The candidate is also expected to provide administrative assistance, design plans, data and documents management and as per the requirement.

• Preference will be given to one / two year experience candidates with knowledge of report writing, project documentation, data compilation, creating budget worksheets and monitoring, designing and material development for outreach activities, indent making with sound knowledge of working on computer. The candidate is also expected to make handouts and brochures as well as assist in handling all science outreach communications between schools, students and organising workshops. The candidate should be Proficient in English speaking and writing.

• Preference will be given to the candidates having experience of independently creating and maintaining website with working knowledge of MS Office/Excel.

Post Name: Project Associate-II

Essential Qualification: Masters in computer engineering or MCM / MCA /MCS from recognized university or equivalent software development degree from recognized university, with proven professional / technical experience, demonstrating an understanding of applications at a functional and technical level with (2) two year working experience.

Desirable: Preference will be given to the candidates in software development, data management and working experience in creating, designing interactive websites and trouble-shooting. Should have working experience /knowledge of Linux OS internals, managing and troubleshooting Linux servers in production settings, Backups,OS security, PhP, Java / JavaScript programming,software development and coordination works with external and internal client base. Added experience in data management, data compilation, working experience in HTML5, Bootstrap CSS, Bootstrap JS,PHP Version 7.2.5 and Mysql Database would be preferable, maintain website of Jigyasa in-house, in addition well conversant with Excel / MS-Office. The candidate is also expected to assist in managing/carrying out other administrative works. High proficiency in English speaking, writing and proven ability to work as part of team and also take lead.Experience of working with School students would bean advantage.
