Indian institute of Astrophysics invites applications for the following post via direct recruitment:

Post Name: CNC Programmer cum Operator (Mechanical)

Essential Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Two years NCTVT/ equivalent certificate course (ITI) in Machinist/Turner with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a reputed and recognized University/ Institution. The Diploma candidate shall have two years and ITI candidates shall have five years of experience in manufacturing of precision components. The candidate shall also have atleast 60-80 hours of full time certificate course in CNC Milling operations or minimum of one year experience in operating CNC milling machines and also shall be conversant to write and generate manual programs using M-Codes & G-Codes for CNC Machining operations.

Desirable: The candidate who has hands on working experience on 3-Axis/4-Axis/5-Axis CNC Milling Machines and familiar to use CAM Software such as MASTER-CAM & FANUC CONTROL interface shall be given preference, candidates shall have operational knowledge of conventional machines such as milling, lathe etc. Ability to read engineering drawings, Operational knowledge of the Mechanical Engineering CAD Software’s such as AUTOCAD/ 3D modelling softwares shall be given preference.
