Post Name: Assistant Professor


Essential Qualification:  a. A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in Part II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub section (3) of the Section 13 of the Act.).

b. The candidate must be registered with the State Medical Council/MCI.

Anaesthesia:

a. A postgraduate qualification i.e. MD (Anaesthesia) of an Indian University/Institute recognized by the Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for teaching post.

Biochemistry:

a. A postgraduate qualification i.e. MD (Biochemistry) of an Indian University/Institute recognized by the

Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for a teaching post.

b. Masters degree (regular course - UGC recognized/equivalent) viz. M.Sc. Clinical Biochemistry/Medical Biochemistry.

c. Ph.D. in the concerned discipline/subject of an Indian University/ Institute or its equivalent Ph.D. Degree from a foreign University recognized by the University Grants Commission.

ENT:

a. A postgraduate qualification i.e. MS (Otolaryngology) of an Indian University/ Institute recognized by Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for a teaching post.

General Surgery:

a. A postgraduate qualification i.e. MS (Surgery) of an Indian University/ Institute recognized by Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for a teaching post.

Haematology:

a. A post graduate qualification i.e. DM (Haematology) or MD (Pathology) of an Indian University/Institute recognized by Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for a teaching post.

Hospital Administration:

a. A post graduate qualification i.e. MD in Hospital Administration or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto. OR

b. Masters in Hospital Administration from MCI recognized Institution / University or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto.

Internal Medicine:

a. A post graduate qualification i.e. MD (Medicine) of an Indian University/Institute recognized by Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for a teaching post.

Medical Microbiology:

a. A postgraduate qualification i.e. MD (Medical Microbiology/Microbiology) of an Indian University/Institute recognized by the Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for teaching post.

OHSC:

a. A postgraduate qualification i.e. MDS in the concerned dental specialty of an Indian University/Institute recognized by the Dental Council of an India or recognized qualification equivalent thereto for teaching post.

Ophthalmology:

a. A postgraduate qualification i.e. MS/MD (Ophthalmology) of an Indian University/Institute recognized by the Medical Council of an India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for teaching post.

Paediatrics:

a. A Postgraduate qualification i.e. MD Pediatrics of an Indian University/Institute recognized by Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for a teaching post.

Radio-diagnosis:

a. A Postgraduate qualification i.e. MD Radiology (before bifurcation)/MD Radio-diagnosis/MD Radio- diagnosis & Imaging of an Indian University/Institute recognized by Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for a teaching post.


Essential Work Experience:

Anaesthesia: 

03 years teaching and research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty concerned after obtaining the qualifying postgraduate degree of MD.

Biochemistry:

3 years teaching and research experience in a recognized Institution in the concerned / allied subject of Specialty after obtaining the degree of MD.

ENT/General Surgery:

03 years teaching and research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MS.

Haematology:

03 years teaching/ training and research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of Specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD including 01 year in the Specialty concerned.

OR

01 year teaching and research experience after obtaining the qualifying degree of DM in case of 2 years DM course. However, no additional experience is necessary for the candidate possessing the 3 years recognized of DM or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

Hospital Administration:

3 years teaching and/or research experience in Hospital Administration in a recognized Institution after obtaining the qualifying postgraduate degree of MD in Hospital Administration or Master’s in Hospital Administration (MHA) or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto.

Internal Medicine:

03 years teaching/ training and research experience in a recognized Institution after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD.

Medical Microbiology:

03 years teaching and / or research experience in the discipline/subject concerned after obtaining the Ph.D. Degree.

OHSC:

03 years teaching and research experience in the specialty concerned after obtaining the qualifying degree i.e MDS in that specialty.

Ophthalmology:

03 years teaching and research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of Specialty after obtaining the degree of MS/MD.

Paediatrics/Radio-diagnosis:

03 years teaching and research experience, in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD.
