Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar invites applications for the following posts via direct recruitment:

Post Name: Post-Doctoral Fellow

Essential Qualification: PhD in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Earth Sciences, or related fields (candidates who have submitted their dissertation may also apply)

Desirable: The prospective candidate is expected to have a strong background in and capabilities for collection of data in the field and data analysis. The candidate is expected to develop a prototype of a field instrument for data collection and be willing to work with lab and machining staff and other students to build it. The candidate is also expected to collect and analyze historical weather data. Candidates possessing an understanding of meteorology, climate change, and/or data science will be given preference. The candidates must possess strong written and oral communication skills. As a postdoctoral researcher, the candidate is also expected to collaborate with other team members on various interdisciplinary projects, including the establishment of a new laboratory at the Institute.
