Birla Institute of Technology Mesra invites applications for the following posts via direct recruitment:
Post Name: Assistant ProfessorEssential Qualification: First class or equivalent in undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) degree level and doctoral (Ph.D) degree in relevant subject/ domain.
Essential Work Experience: At least 4 research publications in reputed, peer reviewed and indexed journals or proceedings (or Patent) Post-doctoral or teaching experience and research for 1-2 years is desirable.
Post Name: Associate Professor
Essential Qualification: First class or equivalent in UG and PG degree level and PhD degree.
Essential Work Experience:
(i) A minimum of 8 years of post-PhD experience of teaching plus research at Assistant Professor or equivalent level in a reputed academic institution, R&D organization or industry.
(ii) A minimum of 8-12 research publications in reputed peer reviewed and indexed journals or proceedings and /or Patents.
(iii) Completion of at least two sponsored R&D or industrial consultancy projects and /or completion of a few technology development initiatives.
(iv) For faculty members of Architecture, HMCT or Management disciplines, cumulative earning from at least two Training Activities/Consultancy /FDP/ EDP are expected.
(v) Supervision of at least one PhD thesis in the last 5 – 8 years.

Essential Qualification: First class or equivalent in UG and PG degree level and PhD in advertised discipline.
Essential Work Experience:
(i) A minimum of 10 years of post-PhD experience of teaching, supervision and research in University/ National level Institutions of which at least 3 years shall be at the Associate Professor level.
(ii) Contributions in terms of publications in referred and indexed journals with high impact and/or Patent (filed or sealed).
(iii) Guided at least three PhD students in the last 10- 15 years.
(iv) Completed a few sponsored R&D Project and/or Industrial Consultancy and/or participated in a few major technology development initiatives.
(v) For faculty members of Architecture, HMCT or Management disciplines, substantial earning from at least two Training Activities/ Consultancy /FDP /EDP are desirable.
