Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission invites applications for the following post(s) via direct recruitment:
Post Name: Research Associate (Engineering)
Essential Qualification: Graduate Degree holders in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/ IT/Computer Science Engineering with MBA/ PGDM (Finance)/ Power Management.
Essential Work Experience: Post qualification experience of zero to three years in the field of power sector in Distribution and/ Or transmission or power planning and load system flow studies OR Renewable Energy OR Electricity Markets. Should be conversant with the regulatory framework in the electricity sector of India, Roles and responsibilities of Electricity Regulatory Commissions, Regulatory Concepts in Power Sector, Indian Electricity Act-2003, Tariff Policy, National Electricity Policy etc.
Desirable: Candidates having experience of working in Electricity Regulatory Commissions/ APTEL shall have added advantage.
Post Name: Research Associate (Law)
Essential Qualification: Bachelor degree in Law (LLB)from a reputed institution/ University.
Essential Work Experience: At least three years experience in drafting replies/ rejoinders in proper legal form, analyzing & scrutinizing petitions/PPAs/ Regulations/ Orders/ other legal documents, recording court
proceedings, appearance before High Courts, District Courts, quasi-judicial forums, etc.
The candidate should have knowledge of the following:
(i) The regulatory framework in the electricity sector of India, functioning of Electricity Regulatory Commissions & APTEL
(ii) Legislations relevant to power sector specially Electricity Act 2003.
(iii) The policy regime including National Electricity Policy and Tariff Policy of India.
(iv)Other relevant matters related to Power Sector.
Desirable: Candidates having experience of working in Electricity Regulatory Commissions/ APTEL shall have added advantage.
