Post Name: Assistant Professor

Essential Qualification: Masters degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) in Data Science/ Economics/Statistics or an equivalent degree from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

Desirable:

  1. PhD in Data Science/Economics/Statistics/ Demography will be considered a desirable qualification.

  2. It is also desirable that the candidate has the ability to develop/teach courses on Data and Public Policy, Basic and Advanced Quantitative research methods in Public Policy and Decision Modelling for Public Policy and other courses in the area of Data Science and Public Policy. In addition, the desired skill sets include scientific research conducted through-

  • R/Python

  • Machine Learning

  • Big Data

  • Large Data Sets – Census, NSSO, NFHS, IHDS, CMIE, etc.,

  • Data Visualisation

  • Operational Research
