Essential Qualification :
(1) A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part Il of the third schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Persons possessing qualifications included in part II of the third schedule of the said Act shall also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of the section 13 of the said Act and National Medical Commission Act, 2019. Candidate must be registered in a State Medical Register and National Medical Register except in the case of teachers with non-medical qualifications.
(2) A postgraduate qualification recognized by the Board of Governors in supersession of National Medical Commission New Delhi or equivalent thereto (ie. if a person with postgraduate medical qualifications awarded in the United States of America, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia or New Zealand desires to take up a teaching appointment, his/her qualification can be considered as equivalent qualification with MD/MS/DM/MCh as the case may be, for the post in the respective departments in medical colleges in India), as indicated in the table below for each post, is required. Diplomate National, Board (DNB) shall be treated as equivalent to MD, MS / DM, MCh qualifications of the respective broad/superspecialties as per NMC Notification issued from time to time.
(3) A Doctorate degree from recognized
(4) A graduate dental qualification eg included in Part-1 of Dentist Act, 1948.
(5) MDS in Prosthodontics or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
Essential Work Experience : Three years teaching or research experience in recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of MDS (Prosthodontics) or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
